This book is part of a series composed of 4 books: “Measures in Music”, “Intervals in Temperament & Arel-Ezgi Systems”, “Scales, Modes & Maqam Scales” and “Chords & Fourth Harmony Chords”. In this book, most frequently used scales and modes in temperament system; ajnas & some common maqam scales in Arel-Ezgi system and the ajnas & maqam scales which can be expressed in temperament system are analyzed and introduced. In this study at the proper places under the relevant titles, the contents of the CD (distributed with the book via Internet) is also illustrated in the form of screen images and the notation of listening samples are presented in the form of either conventional notes or of tables. It is assumed that in this way, the readers would be able to learn this subject matter via both reading and listening.
