When water is gathered permanently over crop land, the situation is called water logging’. The wetland area Vhabadah is situated in the South-western part of Bangladesh. At 1957-58, British engineer MacDonald was appointed as a consultant about the cause of flood at Vhabadah and how it can be solved. At 1959 WAPDA appointed International Engineering Co. to solve this problem. WAPDA makes a sluice gate in Vhabadah region. Some betterment also gets general people but, after the 1990 decade this sluice gaits creates water logging problem. About 10,00,000 people of 200 villages in Khulna-Jessore region were affected by water logging. It hampered their economic status, decrease their happiness and total livelihood pattern also changed.
