The approach involves calculating the adsorption isotherm for a pure gas and then using it to determine the mixed gas adsorption isotherm. The following items are also studied: The equilibrium adsorption isotherm of pure methane and pure ethane, as well as methane, ethane, and propane mixtures on 4A molecular sieve zeolite, the equilibrium adsorption isotherm of propane, n-butane, and i-butane mixtures on 5A molecular sieve zeolite, the experimental breakthrough curves for multi component mixtures, and the mathematical modeling to predict the theoretical breakthrough curves, and experimental pressure swing adsorption process, along with the mathematical modeling of the process.
