This book focuses on “protected areas” as delimited by the Cameroon government for specific objectives of conservation and sustainable development of natural resources. It makes us to understand that protected areas are gazetted into different categories, some of declared ignoring traditionally use by local communities to meet their daily needs. Hence, the genesis of hostility (bush fires, poaching, anthropogenic pressures)resulting to human- wildlife conflicts. It futher suggest better ways of management of protected areas and the advantages that such management will offer.
