Delinquency is a psycho-social problem. In a developing country, like India, the problem of delinquency is becoming increasingly complex and therefore it is necessary for a scientific study of the problem in Indian context. The present research tried to examined the various factors, personal characteristics of delinquent and their socio-economic background, parental occupation and income, home conditions, companionship factors etc., contributing to Juvenile Delinquency in the context of Chandigarh with special reference to Juvenile Home, Sec-25, Chandigarh and with the view to identify the factors which contribute to delinquency.
