The “40 Days of Purpose” is a church-based campaign that was created at the Saddleback Community Church in Lake Forest, California, where Rick Warren is the Senior Pastor, and is designed to address five elements of church health: Evangelism, Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship and Service. This project will review Saddleback’s understanding of these areas of church health as well as the way they are presented in the “40 Days of Purpose” and present an alternative understanding and presentation, as well the addition of prayer as a key element of church health.
