The book assesses the impact of disciplinary procedures on guidance and counseling programmes in secondary schools in a developing country Kenya. It is premised on the assertion that discipline together with guidance and counseling are corrective agents of modeling students’ personality and behaviour. The book identifies factors within the disciplinary procedures that influence efficiency of guidance and counseling programmes in schools. It also articulates the guidance and counseling parameters that are dependent on disciplinary procedures for their efficient implementation. Other barriers to guidance and counseling efficiency in schools are also explored. The book concludes that continued indiscipline in schools in Kenya generally could be as a result of a weak link between disciplinary procedures with the guidance and counseling programmes.
