How legitimate is the struggle of the people of British Southern Cameroons? What does the future hold for such struggle? This work is an attempt to unveil facts that points to the legitimacy of the struggle of the United Nations Trust Territory for national self-determination. The issue centres on the fact that a critical review of the history demonstrates the difficulty for the people to achieve their main objective of self-determination. However, it is clear that their struggle is supported by a just and legitimate demand for basic human rights, the right to equal treatment, and the right to development.
