Since the beginning of the twentieth century, various types of technology began to greatly affect the U.S. workforce, giving rise to several new types of occupations. The U.S. Department of Labor (2010) projected that the increase in computer-related occupations will continue. But are US schools providing adequate training for their students? Are universities and training centers providing appropriate training for those who teach computer instruction? The evidence has shown that a key to effective student education is how successfully teachers implement computers for instruction in the classroom so that students will find meaning and real-life application. The purpose of this study was to examine perceptions of school teachers about computer instruction. The study found that there was a statistically significant relationship between teacher efficacy and teachers’ perceptions about their ability to implement computers for instruction.
