This book is about the Impact of Modernity on the Traditional African family values. The case study is Kabale District in South Western Uganda. Modernity has had a great impact on the family values. These values include hard work, sex related values like sex education, cooperation and unity among others. The book notes that imported religions like Christianity have had an impact too.The impact is so great in that Africans are on the crossroads: neither truly African nor truly Western. Thus Modernity has its good and negative side too.There is an outcry as far as the loss of good values is concerned. That sick side is the one that we need to handle as Christians. The recommendations include that we need to have a good coexistence of both modern and traditional. At the same time we need to have a selective borrowing from the western World in order to have a real good world despite the modern challenges.
